OUR COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY
Florida BioProcessing is committed to sustainability. Our main business model repurposes plant waste materials into profitable and consumable domestic products. Read on to learn more about our efforts.
Our Efforts
For the people: Roughly 34.2 million people suffer from diabetes. It is the seventh leading cause of death in the United States. We are on a mission to support those living with diabetes by providing a sweetener alternative that won’t disrupt their blood glucose levels or increase insulin resistance. By partnering with the sugarcane industry, we are able to bring a product to market that is lower in cost and easier to produce, making it more widely available to those who can benefit from it.
For the planet: The current utilization of biomass waste through burning releases carbon emissions into the atmosphere. These emissions have negative impacts on climate change and the health of surrounding communities. Our patented process utilizes existing biomass waste and turns it into value-added domestic products like biocoal, which burns cleaner and more efficiently, offering a carbon-neutral alternative to current fuel from bagasse.
For the economy: We are working to provide more opportunities for American workers through job offerings and utilizing reliable, American resources to produce our products.
For farming communities: It is our mission to convert typical pre-harvest burning practices over to green harvesting practices. This will benefit the surrounding communities that are at risk for health complications caused by the toxic burning of sugar cane fields.
